A Few Essay Topics to Win This Semester
A Few Essay Topics to Win This SemesterI had to do a quick search to see what the course requirements are for the UGA essay topics this semester. There are a few different requirements, but one of the more notable ones is the requirement that you need to have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 in order to be considered for an essay topic.I think it's important to note that GPA does not necessarily equate to academic success, because some people can just have very high GPAs and still be doing all right in their classes. Therefore, the more academic you are, the better chance you have of getting into this semester's essay contest. If you're a student with a lower GPA, keep reading because you might have some options available to you.The first thing you have to know before anything else is what type of essay you're going to go for. Generally, students that are involved in this kind of contest are trying to make a strong point with their essay. They don't want to simply blow ever yone else away with a bunch of fluff. So what are the things you have to know about the right type of essay to write? Most often, you should make your argument convincing by engaging your audience in a thoughtful way. You should use sound arguments and get across your points using lots of evidence and research. When you do this, you should also make sure to engage your readers in the conversation that follows.Keep in mind that the problem is not the writing of your essay, but the way that you present your argument, so take the time to learn the correct way to put things in writing. An essay that's well-written and carefully thought out is far more likely to land you the win than an essay that doesn't connect with its audience. In order to win, you should do your best to answer the question posed in the question and state the main point you want to make in the most specific essay topic possible. Remember, it's not enough to 'make an argument'; you have to really 'show'tell.' You can't just state a fact, you have to build a story that links back to the facts.Another common reason for not winning essay topics is that students forget the purpose of the assignment. There's really no need to do the extra work if you just need to know that you're having a great time doing it. Sure, it's good to get out there and meet new people, but it's much better to take the time to just learn something.Get out there and work on those essay topics! You can't expect to win the essays if you don't understand the concepts. Just as it's important to understand what the assignment is all about, it's equally important to understand the concept behind your essays.
